Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad conducted its 17th Annual Convocation with all the grandeur and magnificence on 16 March, 2019.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Sh. Anuj Khanna, Managing Director,C&S Electric Limited & Chairman, Western UP Zonal Council, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Dr. Vinay Kumar Pathak, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, Members of Management Committee, Director, Heads of Departments, Deans, Section Incharges, faculty, staff, guests, parents of degree recipients, press and the graduating students.
Presenting the College annual report, Director Dr. R.K. Agarwal highlighted the progress of the College and various academic, cultural, social and sports achievements of the students at College as well as University level.
Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AKTU, Dr. Vinay Kumar Pathak conferred the degrees. The meritorious students were presented cash awards and certificates by the Chief Guest and the Vice Chancellor.
In his address to the students, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the academic achievements of the college with 18 students being in the branch wise merit lists of AKTU and a record tally of 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 2 Bronze medals. He emphasized on the significance of the Convocation Ceremony and advised the students to be focused towards their professional and social goals.
In his convocation address, the Chief Guest Sh Anuj Khanna appreciated the Centres of Excellence in the college, the industry academia interface and the vast range of student activities beyond the curriculum. The chief Guest advised the students to practice and upgrade their technical skills regularly as well as to strengthen their soft skills and build a risk taking capability. He further advised them to be grateful to the Almighty for all the blessings and live a selfless and giving life.
As per the College tradition, the meritorious students were invited to plant a tree in the College lawns.

The ceremony commenced at 10:30 AM in the auspicious presence of Prof. S K Kak, Former Vice Chancellor, Mahamaya Technical University, Noida, Jaypee University of Information Technology, Waknaghat & Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut and Dr. Vinay Kumar Pathak, Hon. Vice Chancellor, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. Presenting College annual report, Dr. R.K. Agarwal, the Director of our College highlighted the progress of the College and various academic, cultural, social and sports achievements of the students at College as well as University level. He brought out that in its endeavour to strengthen the association between industry and academia, AKGEC has taken initiative of setting up many Centres of Relevance and Excellence in Industrial Automation and Robotics to promote, training, applied research and consultancy. The B.Tech students now learn and adopt latest technology prevailing in manufacturing industries and work towards putting their imagination into reality with some innovative ideas. This endeavour is being supported by technology leaders like KUKA Robotics, National Instruments, Bosch Rexroth, Siemens, Janatics, Mitsubishi Electric India and Schmalz, to name a few. He also conveyed that our focus is to inculcate good moral values, ethics, work culture and positive attitude in all students, faculty and staff. He further informed that honesty, transparency, setting up of clear goals and dedication to achieve these objectives is hallmark of the College policy.
Thereafter, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak conferred the degrees and addressed the graduates. He advised the students to be focused towards their professional and social goals. The Chief Guest Prof. S K Kak presented awards to the meritorious student. In his convocation address, he appreciated the academic achievements of the College with 12 students being in the branch wise merit lists of AKTU and a record tally of 2 Gold and 2 Bronze medals. He advised the students to identify their intrinsic strengths and do the job they love so that the best in them comes out. He conveyed his best wishes to the graduating students to succeed in their chosen fields so that they become pride of not only their alma mater, but the University and the nation at large.
